fisher

Here we see the elusive Ice Fisher in his winter plumage, poised for the evening feed. A close cousin of the King Fisher, the Ice Fisher stays dormant during daylight hours, usually hidden away in the dark, rank quarters of his den, also known as the shack. He sometimes emerges at dusk to survey the landscape and breathe in the sub-zero air. This particular Fisher was necropsied after losing his grip and plummeting to his unfortunate demise. The contents of his stomach included rum, smoked goose, whiskey, venison, beer, walleye, bacon, merlot, pheasant and an inordinate amount of vegetables and dip.
